OUR
STORY

There is nothing quite like down—it’s an incredibly warm and breathable natural product. The history of down can be traced back to the 1600s in Northern Europe where its potential as a thermal insulator has been harnessed for centuries. The vast majority of commercial down produced each year is a byproduct of goose and duck meat industries in Asia and Europe. No birds are raised solely for down production.

Down clusters create the perfect combination of durability and light weight compressibility. The main drawback from an insulating standpoint is that when overwhelmed with moisture or liquid, the down structure becomes unstable leading to a loss in insulation efficiency. We can address this issue by adding a hydrophobic finish to the down fibers that helps repel moisture. Our HydroDown provides 500-1000 minutes of effective water repellency with a completely environmentally safe treatment.

We are committed to ethically sourcing down. We provide complete accountability and certification throughout the whole supply chain - parent farms, hatcheries, raising farms, slaughterhouses, processing facilities, and manufacturers.
